Shari Chaskin and her musical partner Jon Day are truly a magical duo. The depth of their musical passion is so very evident in their performances – bringing their audience to tears and to joy. Filled with soulful and classic jazz tone stylings, showtunes, pop and easy listening genres, they are a delight for their audience. Their range is vast and their ability to capture their crowd is truly a gift to those who are blessed share their music with them.
I have been fortunate to know Shari on a personal level for more than 20 years and she has consistently followed her heart to the music that brings meaning to her life and joy to others. She has always been generous with her talent and her musical gifts to the community. She is brave and bold with her voice such that she can fill a room with the intensity and intention only a gifted performer has the capacity for. She will always be my favorite songbird and I am grateful to share her musical journey.

​Without a doubt, having Shari sing at your next event, party, or celebration will add an element of distinction! No matter the genre, her powerful voice fills the room with a STAR quality. She has performed several times at evenings I have hosted and her voice always leaves my guests spellbound.

Shari Chaskin and her talented musical partner, pianist Jon Day have been a wonderful Calgary Petroleum Club member favourite entertainer for many years. In February of 2021, Shari and Jon performed an intimate “virtual” Valentine’s event for the Club members when in-person events were not permitted. Post- pandemic, Shari has been able to perform at the Clubs Valentine, New Year’s Eve and Seafood Buffet celebrations. Shari is a consummate professional. Shari delivers on every aspect of the event. What truly is the magic, however, is Shari herself. She is compassionate, funny, caring and for her “It’s Personal” – a Club core value. Shari is not only a preferred corporate entertainer; she is now a friend. I would recommend Shari to everyone. It is rare to find such talent; and you will not find a more caring human.

Shari performed for our wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. It was spectacular. She truly is talented and has a sultry voice and presence. She and pianist Jon Day played over 20 songs and learned most of them specially for our repertoire. Our guests raved about the music for weeks afterwards. It truly did make the day that much more special.

Shari Chaskin you did a magnificent job tonight with the benefit concert at The Rozsa Centre. The music was spectacular. How beautiful to bring people together in the healing energy of song to bring hope to the world.

We recently attended a Suicide Prevention fundraiser and we were treated to an evening of extraordinary musicians. The performance featuring Shari Chaskin, Peter LaMarr, and Jon Day (musical director), was beautifully choreographed and presented. The music that was chosen, composed and performed spoke to our hearts with intense depth and joy. So much talent all on one stage!

It's one thing to be able to sing, but an artist who performs like Shari, does not come along every day. When she entertains, you wish the show would go on and on.
